Gay Romance NW Meetup Debuts in September!

I am very excited, along with several other awesome gay romance writers (see list below), to be taking part in the first-ever Pacific Northwest Conference of Gay Romance Readers and Writers. Full details below, supplied by GAYROM NW organizer Tracy Timmons-Gray.

Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up in Seattle: September 14, 2013

For those in the U.S. Northwest region, we’re happy to announce an upcoming M/M event to be held in sunny Seattle this September! To date, more than 25 writers have signed up to talk about the M/M romance genre and publishing, and if you’re in the area (or if you’re up for some traveling), we’d LOVE to have you be a part of it!
Join us on Saturday, September 14 at the Seattle Central Library for the Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up!
This half-day event will feature discussions and panels with M/M romance authors from around the region, Qs&As with the audience, and a post-event happy hour for book signings and more mingling and chatting about M/M! Registration starts at noon, and the conference will run from 1pm-5pm, followed by the Happy Hour until 7pm.
About the GRNW Meet-Up
The Gay Romance Northwest Meet-Up will give writers and readers all over the region a chance to gather and discuss M/M romance. The Meet-Up is open to the public and readers and writers are welcome to join in! You don’t have to be from the Northwest to be a part of the Meet-Up. All fans are welcome.

What can I do at the GRNW Meet-Up?
Besides enjoy the panel discussions, participate in the Qs&As, and meet other M/M writers and fans, there will also be M/M books on sale at the event, plus free swag and prizes. The Happy Hour event will also feature tasty free food.
Free Public M/M Readings!
Along with the GRNW Meet-Up on Sept.14, we are also planning free reading events at Seattle’s University Book Store at their University District location this summer! The first reading will be a sci-fi/fantasy-themed event on the evening of Thursday, July 25 and will feature GRNW authors Ginn HaleAstrid Amara, Angela Benedetti, and Laylah Hunter. There will be more free reading events this September prior to the conference
Who’s hosting the Meet-Up?
This event is being hosted by Old Growth Northwest, a Seattle nonprofit organization whose goal is to foster community around writers in the Northwest. The GRNW Meet-Up is being organized and staffed by a happy group of volunteers who love M/M and are super psyched about filling the Seattle Library with gay romance fans.
We want to thank Dreamspinner Press, Harmony Ink Press, Less Than Three Press, Riptide Publishing and Storm Moon Press for serving as GRNW Sponsors. We also thank our event partner University Book Store who will be onsite at the Meet-Up selling books by GRNW authors.
How can I learn more???
For more info about the event, you can visit our website at:

You can follow our updates on Twitter: @GayRom_NW
We also have a group on GoodReads where authors and attendees are discussing the event, possible panel topics, and where to stay in Seattle. (There’s even a group of attendees planning a party on Amtrak from Portland!) In addition, we’re hosting a“Road to Seattle” Reading Challenge this summer that highlights books by attending authors (and the first five people to finish get a free drink at the Meet-Up!)   You can visit our GR group here: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/102681
Thank you for helping support M/M Romance in the Pacific Northwest, and we hope to see you in Seattle!
